The most common types of mask included sneering ones, Negroid ones, and those

The sneering type is undoubtedly the most common and reproduces a beardless face with deeply marked stripes on the forehead and cheeks, large projecting ears, eyeholes in the shape of sickles with their points facing downwa
rd, and a large grimacing mouth. The Negroid type has features typical of the North African peoples: a strongly flattened nose, a mouth with large lips, and ears with highly developed lobes. The last type reveals the influence of the Greek world and its
masks depicting the bearded faces of sileni, with animal-like ears and small eyes.\par
